Obey Plagiarist Shepard Fairey

When I was younger, I totally dug the Obey stuff. And when he did the Obama poster, I thought he was pretty well within fair use, but it’s certainly debatable. But the further he went toward 100% sustaining himself with this type of artwork (and copyrighting the derivative works of public-domain originals), the more I think he’s doing it wrong and being unethical. I don’t agree with all of the points in this article, but most of them ring true for me.
